25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 23

Today is day 23 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  You can read about Tracey's fun event and play along here.

I'm still making tags to match  holiday wrapping paper and gift bags that I have on hand.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper or a gift bag, and when I can, use the  sponsor of the day products as well.  As of today, I have one roll of wrapping paper, two gift bags and a candy tin that I haven't made tags for yet.

Today's guest is Jillibean Soup.  The blog is full of fun and creative tags.  I decided to use Patty's striking red, white and black poinsettia tag (here) for my inspiration.  It's so pretty, and I had a poinsettia gift bag that I wanted to make a tag for.

I don't have any Jillibean Soup products, so I got out my Essentials by Ellen (Tracey's day 2 sponsor) Mondo Poinsettia set.  Since my gift bag has lots of red on it, I decided to make a gold poinsettia so it would stand out more.  I die cut one poinsettia in gold sparkle card stock, and another with a piece of tiny dots vellum, and layered them.  All of the supplies are listed below.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a closer look at my tag.  And many thanks to Jillibean Soup and all the designers too.

Twenty-three down, only two more to go!

25 Days of CHristmas Tags 2019 - Day 22

We are approaching the end of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags. Today is day 22, sponsored by Birch Press Design.

I'm down to two rolls of wrapping paper and two gift bags that I haven't made tags for yet, so it's getting a bit more challenging to tie all the elements together.

The design inspiration for today is really beautiful.  Birch Press Designs has some very intricate dies that the designers have used to make gorgeous layered tags.   I don't have any of their products, but my Ellen Hutson/Essentials by Ellen (Tracey's day 2 sponsor) Geo Tree die was a great alternative to make a tag inspired by Jeanne's pretty geometric pattern tag.  You can see Jeanne's tag here.

I made my tag to coordinate with a roll of silver wrapping paper.  I used charcoal gray glitter paper for the background of my tree, and silver sparkle paper for the star and mini-tag reinforcement ring.  It's so pretty in person, but the picture doesn't reflect it.  I decided to put the sentiment on a mini-tag rather than the tree so the tag can be used as an ornament if the recipient chooses to.  All of the supplies are listed below.

Many thanks to Birch Press Designs for being a sponsor, and to Jeanne and all the designers for the beautiful inspiration.

Twenty-two down, just three to go!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 21

Hello, and thanks for stopping by.

Today is day 21 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

I'm down to two rolls of wrapping paper and three gift bags that I haven't made tags for yet, so it's getting a bit more challenging to tie all the elements together.

Today's sponsor is Lawn Fawn and the blog is full of adorable and creative tags for inspiration.  I had forgotten that I had Lawn Fawn's Tiny Tags set until I saw Lindsey's cute tags (here).  I decided to use those as my inspiration.

I have a roll of wrapping paper on hand with an unusual combination of Christmas colors, and I have no matching card stock. The background is brick red, the stars are peach, and the trees are mint green.  I thought a white and red Tiny Tag would work well for it.

This tag evolved as I was making it. First I die cut a white star and stamped a red ink sentiment on it.  Not much too it, so I stamped two more, with the plan to thread them together with baker's twine.  Still looked too plain.  So I die cut three black stars and attached them to the white ones. See the photo and notes below on how I assembled the tag.

I really like the way this tag turned out.  And an added bonus, I got a gift all wrapped and ready to go under the Christmas tree.

Many thanks to Lawn Fawn, Lindsey, and all the designers for the sponsorship and inspiration.

Twenty-one down, just four to go!

Assembly
First I threaded all three white stars on a looped piece of baker's twine through the holes from the back to the front.  The loop at the top should be on top side of the first star.

Next the twine was glued to each black star to hold it in place in between two pieces of foam tape. The distance between each black star was measured before gluing the twine to it to keep them evenly spaced.  I rotated the black stars one turn so the tips would be visible behind the white stars.

Finally, the white stars were slid down and attached to the black stars with the foam tape and an added dab of glue.  The twine and foam tape are the same thickness, so the white star lays flat popped up over the black star for added dimension.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 20

Today is day 20 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

My supply of wrapping paper and gift bags is dwindling down, so it's getting a bit more challenging to tie all the elements together.  Today I used a gift bag that will be perfect for a bottle of sparkling wine for a friend.

Today's sponsor is Jillian Vance Design.  There were several tags on the blog post that I really liked.  I decided to use Rosemary's pretty red and gold foiled snowflake tag (here) as my inspiration.  I don't have any Jillian Vance products, so I used an Ellen Hutson (day 2 sponsor) set that coordinates with my gift bag.

I used embossing glitter on eggplant colored card stock and added a tiny rhinestone to the center of each snowflake.  Of course it's hard to see all the sparkle in the picture, but it's really pretty in person.  My choice of sentiments is tied to my idea of putting a bottle of sparkling wine in the gift bag.  Not sure the recipient will catch-on, but I think it's a cute tie-in :-).  All of the supplies are listed below.

Many thanks to Jillian Vance Designs for being today's sponsor, and to Rosemary and all of the designers for their inspiration.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 19

Today is day 19 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

My supply of wrapping paper and gift bags is dwindling down, so it's getting a bit more challenging to tie all the elements together.  Today I used a gift bag that I have several of.  This is the third tag I've made to coordinate with the plaid bags.

Paper Smooches is today's sponsor.  There are lots of really cute tags on their blog.  I used Carol's tall JOY tags (seen here) for inspiration.  I don't have any Paper Smooches products, but I was able to use some from Altenew and Ellen Hutson, the day 1 and 2 sponsors.  To make my tag slightly different from Carol's, I made the "O" a shaker.  All of the supplies are listed below.

Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my tag.  And thanks to Paper Smooches for being today's sponsor, and to Carol and all the other designers for the terrific inspiration.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 18

It's day 18 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.

My supply of wrapping paper and gift bags is dwindling down, so it's getting a bit more challenging to tie all the elements together.

Today's sponsor is Neat & Tangled.  The designers made some really great tags for inspiration.  I especially like Koren's beautiful tag.  The image is adorable, the background is subtle, and the color combination really says winter holidays.  You can see Koren's tag (here).

I don't have any Neat & Tangled holiday sets, but I found a way to use the little lamb in the Itty Bitty Welcoming Committee set for my tag.  I did some masking to remove the grass and leave the end of the banner open.  I used a Micron 08 pen to connect some lines and draw the Santa bag.  After I colored the bunny and bag with Copic markers, I made another mask of the completed image and stenciled on a brick  background.  A Santa hat, sentiment and some ribbon finished my tag.  It didn't turn out exactly as I had planned, but I'm glad that I was able to use products from the sponsor for the main image.

Many thanks to Neat & Tangled for being today's sponsor, and to Koren for the inspiration as well.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 17

Hello, and thanks for stopping by.

Today is day 17  of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 hosted by Tracey McNeely.  You can read about Tracey's fun event and play along here.

I'm making tags to match  holiday wrapping paper and gift bags that I have on hand.  It's been a fun twist to tie all the elements together.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper or a gift bag, and when I can, use the  sponsor of the day products as well.

Today's sponsor is Pretty Pink Posh.  There are so many beautiful inspiration tags on their blog today.  I have a few PPP holiday stamp and die sets, and decided to use pretty Carol's ornament tags   (here)  as my inspiration.

I had several gift bags to choose from, but chose one that has been passed back and forth between my sister and I for several years, it's our little tradition now.  The bag has holly leaves that are similar to the holly on one of the ornaments.

I used Copic markers to color the ornaments after heat embossing them with Princess Gold powder.  I know using Copics with heat embossed images isn't recommended, but last year I made many Christmas cards doing so.  I  keep the marker nib away from the embossing as much as possible, and when I finish all the coloring, I replace the nibs on the markers since they get slightly sticky if not clogged a bit.  Coloring just one or two ornaments, as for this tag,  doesn't require that the nibs be replaced though.

Many thanks to Pretty Posh Pink for being a sponsor, and to Carol and all of the designers for all the beautiful inspirations.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 16

Today is day 16  of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 hosted by Tracey McNeely.

Today's sponsor is Waffle Flower.  There were several tags by the designer's that I was drawn to, but after looking at my limited Waffle Flower supplies, and the wrapping paper and bags on hand, I decided to use Lindsey's cute bird tag (here) as my inspiration.  I was able to make the tag using other various sponsor products for most of the main design elements of the tag except the card stock.

For the base of the tag, I used the Waffle Flower Lacy Layers 5x7 set.  I tried to keep the tag fairly simple since my wrapping paper has a small, busy print.  This tag came together quickly, and I think it matches the paper nicely.

Thank you to Waffle Flower for being today's sponsor, and thank you to Lindsey and all of the designers for the festive inspiration.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 15

Today is day 15  of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 hosted by Tracey McNeely and sponsored by Concord & 9th.

I have a few birthday theme Concord & 9th stamp sets, but I couldn't come up with a way to stretch them for a Christmas tag.  I also have their Perfectly Penned stamp set.  I love the cute tree shaped tags that Chari (here) and Tracey (here) made with the sentiments stamped right on the trees, so I used those for inspiration along with a Christmas gift box that I had on hand.

Instead of a tree die, I used triangle dies to make my tree.  The edges of the pieces were brushed with green ink to add some depth (it's a little hard to see in the picture) and I used foam tape behind each piece of the tree for added dimension.  The garland is white Nuvo drops, and I simply punched holes out of scrap card stock for the ornaments, tree stump and star.  I used Concord & 9th's Perfectly Penned stamp set to add my daughter's name instead of a sentiment.  The supplies are listed below.

Many thanks to Concord & 9th for being today's sponsor, and to Chari and Tracey, and all of the other designers too,  for their beautiful inspiration.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 14

Today is day 14  of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 hosted by Tracey McNeely.  You can read about it and play along here.

I'm still challenging myself to match my tags to holiday wrapping paper and gift bags that I have on hand.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper or a gift bag, and when I can, use the  sponsor of the day products as well.

Today's sponsor is Paper Sweeties.  I don't have any of their products, but I used Larissa's cute snowflake tag for inspiration.  Her tag has lots of sparkle and texture with the snowflake being the focal point.  Here is her tag.

I have a big roll of bright green, red and white snowflake wrapping paper, perfect for a snowflake tag.  Instead of a scalloped circle frame around the snowflake as Larissa did, I used a die cut of the MFT Merry Christmas Circle frame. The light green circle is popped up with foam tape and I die cut and stacked three snowflakes for added dimension.

Thank you to Paper Sweeties for being a sponsor, and to Larissa for her inspiring tag.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 13

Today is day 13 and the half-way point of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 hosted by Tracey McNeely.

Today's sponsor is CAS-ual Fridays.  Their blog has lots of great tag inspiration, and I was quickly drawn to Joyce's CAS Hanukkah tags, seen here.  When I looked through my supplies, I found that I had a CAS-ual Fridays die set that matches a gift bag quite nicely.  Pure luck!

I kept my tag CAS as well, but left off a sentiment and added thin strips of gold glitter card stock on each side to more closely mimic the gift bag design.  Instead of a ribbon, I die cut a link, folded it in half and threaded it through the tag loop.  After looking at the CAS-ual Fridays web site, it looks like all of the dies I used today are retired.

Many thanks to CAS-ual Friday for being today's sponsor, and to Joyce for her inspiration too...the second day in a row.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 12

It's day 12 of Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  You can read all about Tracey's inspirational tag making fun here.

I like things to match, so I'm challenging myself to make tags to match wrapping paper I have on hand.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper or a gift bag, and when I can, use the  sponsor of the day products as well.

Last year I bought several small festive paper bags (below) for our guests to fill with cookies to take home after Christmas Eve dinner.  I set the paper bags, some clear cello bags and twisty ties on the dessert table.  It worked out great.  Our guests could take as many as they liked of the types of cookies they enjoyed the most.  Doing this saved me the time of making up plates or boxes of cookies to go, and it saved our guests from going home with goodies they might not want.  I bought a few more of the same bags on sale after Christmas, so I'm all set for this year.   On to my tag.

Today's sponsor is Stamplorations.  I was inspired by Joyce's cute tree tag, here.  I liked the wonky-whimsy look of the tilted tree that she created with a Stamplorations stencil.  Since I don't have a similar one, I simply used pieces of card stock instead.  I stamped three of the branches with sentiments from Uniko's Peace on Earth stamp set.  Uniko was Tracey's sponsor on Day 4.  All of the supplies are listed below.

Thank you to Stamplorations for being the day 12 sponsor, and thank you to Joyce for the inspiration.

25 Days of Chirstmas Tags 2019 - Day 11

Hello and thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my tag for the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 event hosted by Tracey McNeely.

Today's sponsor is Studio Katia and the tags made by their designers are adorable.  Bears, snowflakes, trees and more.  I was inspired by the pretty tag made by Liliya Rystar, here (it's the last tag on the Studio Katia blog post).   I loved the neutral colors, stenciled background and die cut sentiment.  I decided to make a silver and white tag to go with a roll of polka dot wrapping paper I have.

I used some Studio Katia embellishments, but all of the other supplies are from other companies listed below.  Instead of a stencil for the background,  I die cut a silver glitter card stock mandala.

My finished tag is so pretty in person, but I had a really hard time getting a good picture of it.  Metallic and glitter paper are always a challenge to photograph.

Thank you Studio Katia for being a sponsor, and thanks to Liliya for the inspiration too.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 10

Simon Says Stamp is the sponsor for day 10 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 event hosted by Tracey McNeely.

The Simon Says Stamps designers made a variety of beautiful and inspiring tags.  Right away I was drawn to Debby's crisp red and white tag with the sentiment as the focal point.  You can see it here.   I looked through my holiday wrapping paper and gift bags and found a bag with bright red, green and white ornaments that I thought would look good with a red and white tag.

I have the Simon Says Stamps Inside Sentiments stamp set, but none of them had the bold look I wanted.  The sentiments from the Merry Mistletoe set was closer to what I wanted.

First go around, I stamped one of the sentiments on a regular small tag, but it didn't have the impact that Debby's tag did.  I thought an ornament shape would be fun and the AveryElle Rounded Diamonds dies and were the right shape.  I really like the way this tag turned out.   AveryElle was the day 6 sponsor so that was a plus too.  I like to use as many sponsor supplies as I can.

Many thanks to Simon Says Stamp for their generous sponsorship, and to Debby for her inspiring tag.

Ten down, 15 to go!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 9

Hello, and thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my tag for day 9 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.  You can read all about Tracey's fun and inspirational game here.

I like things to match, so I'm challenging myself to make tags to match wrapping paper I have on hand.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper or a gift bag, and when I can, use products  from the sponsor of the day as well.

Today I'm using the same gift bag that I used yesterday.   Last year I bought a bulk package of them and I still have several on hand.  I'll need a few more tags that match it so you'll be seeing more of this red and green plaid bag in the days ahead.

Today's sponsor in Pink & Main, a company that I don't have any products from.  Their design team made some adorable tags.  I love the little owls and wreaths that Zsofia and Carol used, so my tag is inspired from theirs.  You can see Zsofia's tags here  and Carol's here.

For the wreath, I used Lawn Fawn's (also one of Tracey's sponsors) Large and Small Wreath die sets.
The little owl is from the MFT Wild Woodland set and colored with Copic markers.  I thought the little wreath tag could also be used as a tree ornament, so I added a separate and removable small oblong tag for the "to" and "from" information.

Many thanks to Pink and Main for being a sponsor.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 8

Picket Fences Studio is the sponsor for day 8 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 event hosted by Tracey McNeely.

Today I'm using a gift bag that I bought a bulk package of last year.  Since I have several on hand, I'll need a few more tags that match it so you'll be seeing more of this red and green plaid bag in the days ahead.

The Picket Fences designers made so many beautiful tags.  Santas, snowmen, reindeer, snow globes and more.  I was drawn to Mindy Eggen's cute reindeer tag.  I like the CAS design with a crisp solid background and bright white sentiment.  Her little reindeer is adorable and beautifully colored too.  You can see Mindy's tag here.  I don't have any Picket Fences products, so I had to use supplies from the other companies listed below.

The reindeer was die cut three times and stacked for dimension.  The sentiment was moved to the top and I used pine sprigs at the top instead of a bow.   I also added a contrasting color tail at the bottom.

Many thanks to Mindy for the inspiration, and also to Picket Fences Studios for being the Day 8 sponsor.

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 7

Sunny Studio is the sponsor for day 7 of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 event hosted by Tracey McNeely.

There were so many tags designed by the Sunny Studio team that I admired.  I really liked Rachel Alvardo's cute gingerbread theme tags and decided to make a baking theme tag inspired by her cookie theme tags.   You can see Rachel's gingerbread tags here.

I have the Sliding Window die set by Sunny Studio, but none of their stamp sets.  I have used the sliding window die many times (makes super fun cards), but up until today, I hadn't used any of the  accessory dies in the set, including the gift tag and holly dies.

I used a sentiment stamp, and the cookie jar and rolling pin dies from the Recipe for Love set by Clearly Besotted.  They fit nicely on the small Sunny Studio tag and the holly die added just the right amount of festive holiday cheer.

I had a package of gingerbread theme goodie bags left over from last year.  Now all I have to do is make some gingerbread cookies next month.   Thanks Rachel for your inspiration, and thank you to Sunny Studio for being the day 7 sponsor.

Seven down, 18 to go!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 6

Hello.  I'm back with a tag for day 6 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags.   Here  is a link to Tracey's blog with all the information.

I like things to match, so I'm challenging myself to make tags to match wrapping paper I have on hand.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper or gift bag, and when I can, use the days sponsor's products as well.  I deviated a bit on it today, more on that below.

Today's sponsor is AveryElle.  When I looked at the design team tags, I was drawn to Nicky Meek's cute shaker tag with the focal point image on the outside of the shaker component.  You can see Nicky's tag here.   I have a couple of AveryElle holiday stamp sets, but neither worked for what I had in mind.  No problem though.  I've made many kids Christmas and holiday cards to donate while stretching my everyday stamps into holiday designs.

I used Copic markers to color a cute puppy from the AveryElle Furry Friends set.  The shaker background piece was stamped with the WOOF and paw stamps, and I stamped and fussy cut a dog bone for the shaker, all from the Furry Friends set.  The Santa hat,  Merry stamp and pine sprigs are from other suppliers as noted below.

I started making the tag with the intention of matching it to a red and green plaid gift bag.  But once it was done, I thought it would be cute to tie it to a clear cello bag filled with dog treats.  It's only by coincidence that when I got some of our sweet Sadie's dog treats out to take a picture of the tag, that I realized that they have 'woof' on them.  So cute that the treats match the 'Merry woof woof' sentiment inside the shaker!

Sadie will have to decide which of her furry friends gets this tag and bag of treats for Christmas...haha.

Thanks to AveryElle for being the day 6 sponsor, and thank you for stopping by to take a closer look at my tag and read about my thoughts behind it.

MFT Color Challenge 129 - Birthday Wishes

Hi, I'm back again today with a card for the current MFT Color Challenge featuring After Midnight, Ripe Raspberry, Persimmon and Summer Splash.

The color challenges are my favorites as they force me to use color combinations that I normally wouldn't try on my own.  I got off to a slow start and changed the layout and focal point images several times along the way, but in the end finished with a card that I like.

Beary Special Birthday is one of the first MFT stamp sets I bought, and I have gotten so much use out of it.  The images are cute and easy to color with Copic markers.

I die cut the background piece with the MFT Peek-a-Boo Polka Dots die in Smooth White, Ripe Raspberry, Coral Crush and Summer Splash card stock.  An A2 size piece of Stick It double-sided adhesive paper made neat and quick work of placing the colored polka dots in random order on the white base.  To tone down the background piece a bit, I covered it with a sheet of vellum.  It softened the background enough for the bear images to be seen.  I used Copic markers B24 and B37, and Catherine Pooler Juniper Mist ink, for the After Midnight color.

Glossy Accents on the balloon, Wink of Stella on the ribbons, and Jelly Roll pen stripes on the party hat and stars add some shimmer and shine.  All of the MFT supplies are listed below.

Have a beary good day!

MFT Sketch 462 - Have an A-maze-ing Birthday

Hello, and thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my card for the current MFT Sketch challenge, #462.

I'm working on a set of 12 birthday cards for someone.  I thought this week's sketch was well suited to a maze card, and the maze cards are always fun for the requested 6-12 age group.  I used my MFT Horizontal Skinny Stripes die for the first time, moved the sentiment to the right, and kept the card CAS.

All of the MFT supplies are listed below.

Have an a-maze-ing day!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 5

Reverse Confetti is the sponsor for today's 25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 event hosted by Tracey McNeely.  You can read all about the inspirational tag making fun here.

I like things to match, so I'm challenging myself to make tags to match wrapping paper I have on hand.  My goal is to each day find a tag that I'm inspired by (not hard at all with all the beautiful and creative designers participating), pick a wrapping paper, and when I can, use the days sponsor's products as well.

I have a few Reverse Confetti stamp sets, but none suitable to make a Christmas tag.  I do have several of their patterned paper packs.  I was able to find a few papers that match a Christmas gift bag I have on hand.  As for inspiration by the Reverse Confetti design team, there were so many tags that I liked that I had a hard time choosing one.  Ultimately I decided on Amy Kolling's pretty tags with triangle trees and patterned paper backgrounds as shown here.

All of the supplies are listed below.  Many thanks to Reverse Confetti for being a sponsor.

Five down, 20 to go!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 4

Hello, and thanks for stopping by.

I'm back with my 4th Christmas tag for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.  You can read all about Tracey's fun and inspiring event here.

Today's sponsor is Uniko Stamps.  I have two of their Christmas stamp sets, Rustic Christmas and Peace on Earth.  I was inspired by Izzy Scrap's pretty ombre tag that you can see here

I had a soft aqua and gold gift bag on hand and thought the Peace on Earth stamp set complemented it nicely.  I used Copic markers to make a quick ombre background, and heat embossed the images with gold embossing powder.  Some tiny clear gems and gold and white ribbon finished my tag.

Many thanks to Uniko Stamps for being a sponsor.

Four down, 21 to go!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 3

I'm back with my 3rd Christmas tag for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.  You can read all about Tracey's fun and inspiring event here.

Today's sponsor is Newton's Nook.  I don't have any of their products, but there were plenty of terrific tags created by their design team.  I decided to make a masculine tag for a black and tan buffalo plaid gift bag using inspiration from Jennifer Jackson's deer tags.  You can take a look at them here.

The Leaping Deer from Essentials by Ellen is the focal point of my tag.  I added a strip of red and white patterned paper to brighten up the dark, masculine color pallet.  All of the supplies are listed below.

Many thanks to Newton's Nook for offering a sponsorship prize.

Three down, 22 to go!

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2019 - Day 2

I'm back with my 2nd Christmas tag for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event.  You can read all about Tracey's fun and inspiring holiday preparation event here.

Today's (day 2) sponsor is Ellen Hutson.  The EH Ambassadors have created a collection of beautiful and inspiring Christmas tags.  I was immediately drawn to the adorable tag made by Michele Ferguson.  A crisp plaid background, three chickens with Santa hats, and a bit of sass too!  Take a look at her tag here

For my tag, I followed Michele's layout of 'threes' with trees and snowflakes to match my wrapping paper.   Although my tag isn't cute and fun like Michele's, I'm happy with my efforts to make a tag that looks nice with the wrapping paper, and an added plus, the little trees are an Essential by Ellen die!  All of the supplies are listed below.
