MFT Sketch 473 - You Make Every Day Magical

Today I have a final card for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts January 2020 heart theme card drive.  You can read about Christina's year-round program that benefits pediatric cardiac patients here.

I took advantage of last week's MFT Wednesday Blitzday sale and bought the cute Fairy-Tale Friends stamp and die set at 60% off.  We all love a great sale!!

I followed the sketch closely, just replacing the circle with a heart since Christina asks that the cards for February Heart Month have a heart theme, but do not mention Valentine's Day.

The rainbow and clouds were stamped with MFT Sno Cone ink to match the patterned paper from the MFT Homespun Gingham 6x6 Paper Pack.  A heart stenciled with clouds, simple Copic marker coloring on the cute unicorn along with some clear Wink of Stella on its wings for a bit of glitter, and my card was done.

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a closer look at my card.  Have a magical day!

MFT Sketch Challenge 472 - Sending You a Tweet Hello

Hello, and thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my card for this week's MFT Sketch Challenge.

I'm still working on cards for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts heart theme card drive.  You can read about Christina's program that benefits pediatric cardiac patients here.

I rotated the sketch for a horizontal formatted card and used a MFT cloud stencil and Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink to make three panels for the background.  The top and bottom panels are popped up with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment and Copic colored birds are from the A Tweet Hello set.   The tree branch die was a MFT free gift with purchase - love those!  Since Christina asks that all cards for this card drive have a heart theme, I used little hearts for the leaves.

All of the MFT supplies are listed below.  Thanks again for stopping by, and have a tweet day.

MFT Color Challenge 133 - Grrreetings

For the current MFT Color Challenge, I have another card for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts heart theme card drive.  You can read about Christina's program that benefits pediatric cardiac patients here.

The colors for the challenge are Grout Gray, Electric Red. Gravel Gray and Tickled Pink.  I used Wild Cherry for the red, and Copic markers RV10 and RV02 for the Tickled Pink.

As I often do for donated kids cards, I used the Monster Sized stamp and die set.  It's cute for boys or girls, and the images are quick to color.

I saw a center opening card on Instagram last week and decided to make one for this challenge.  I'd like to acknowledge the creator of the card that I was inspired by, but I didn't make a note of who it was, and of course I can't remember or find the post on Instagram at this point!

A piece of white card stock was cut to 8 1/2-inches wide and 5 1/2-inches high. Next each end was scored and folded at 2 1/8-inches.  Half of the red heart was glued to the right side flap, and half of the gray heart was glued to the left side.  The Copic colored monsters were popped up with foam tape, and wiggly eyes were added.  I used a clear glitter pen to color their teeth.

All of the MFT supplies are listed below.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a grrreat day!

MFT Color Challenge 132 and Sketch Challenge 470 - Sending Monster Sized Love

Hello, and thanks for stopping by.  Today I have a card for the current MFT Color and Sketch Challenges.

I'm working on cards for Christina Hor's Cards for Little Hearts card drive.  February is Heart Month, and Christina has a wonderful program that supplies pediatric cardiac patients in three children's hospitals with heart theme cards during the month of February.  You can read more about the card drive here

I love the color combination of the Color Challenge - Gravel Gray, Red Hot, Limelight and Field Day.  I have all four colors of the MFT card stock and used each one on my card.  The cute Monster Sized images are colored with Copic markers and I added wiggly eyes.  I used the Skinny Stripes die for the background areas, and four die sets for the various sizes of hearts.  All of the MFT supplies are listed below.

Have a great day!
