MFT Stamps Color Challenge 158 - Hope Your Birthday is Awesome

The current MFT Color Challenge colors are Cotton Candy, Ripe Raspberry, Cement Gray and Black Licorice.

I used the You're Super stamp and die set to make another birthday to donate.  My biggest challenge with this card was coloring the black hair.  I wanted a sheen or highlights to show, but I think my little superhero is a little too gray!   I decided to leave it rather than take the chance that I'd color it too solid black.

All of the MFT supplies are listed below.  Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a super day!

You're Super stamps and dies
English Brick Wall stencil
Circle Shaker Window and Frame star die

MFT Color Challenge 157 - Hello

Hello, and thanks for stopping by to take a closer look at my card for the current MFT Stamps Color Challenge.  The four colors for the challenge are Summer Splash, Tropical Teal, Kraft and Milk Chocolate (I used Chocolate Brown).

On Wednesday I took advantage of the Wednesday Blitzday sale and ordered a few new stamp and die sets, including the die set I used for this card, Puppy Love.  My order arrived on Saturday.  MFT's shipping is so quick!

I had the MFT Staggered Paw Prints stencil on hand, but hadn't used it yet.  I used the stencil and white pigment ink on Chocolate Brown card stock to make a quick background piece.

The die cut puppy is so cute, and I know I'll use that set and the paw stencil often to make kid's cards to donate.  This one is for Scrapbook.com's Cards for Kindness card drive.

Have a great day!

MFT Sketch Challenge 525 - Grrreetings

Today I have a card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge.

The cute little images from the Monster Sized stamp and die set are my go-to for kid's birthday cards.  They are fun and so quick to color with Copic markers.  I think my card got a little "busy" with the images, sentiments and patterned papers, but hopefully it will make a young child smile.

All of the MFT supplies are listed below.

Have a grrreat day!

MFT Supplies:
Monster Sized stamps and dies
Hip Hip Hooray Banner die
Blueprints 27 sentiment die
Limelight and Gravel Gray card stock

MFT Color Challenge 156 - Have A Hoot of a Day

I've always liked color challenges as they are a great way to combine colors that I normally wouldn't consider.  I haven't made a card for a MFT Color Challenge since July of last year, so I'm definitely overdue.

The current MFT Color Challenge is Sweet Tooth (I used Smooth White), Grout Gray, Berrylicious and Blueberry.  It's a nice combination and a fairly easy one to get back in to the swing with.

I always admire pretty blended ink backgrounds but I've rarely felt successful at making them myself.  Since it's a new year, I thought it would be good to push myself to try again. I used the MFT oval stencil and blended Broken China and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks and splattered it with water.

The cute little Copic colored owl is from the retired MFT I'm Owl Yours set, one that I use often for kids cards.  The tree branch is die cut with a free with $60 purchase die, thank you MFT for that.  I made a moon out of a circle die, and added three little stars for a bit of shine and detail at the top of the card.

All of the MFT supplies are listed below.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a hoot of a day!

MFT Sketch Challenge 522 - Happy Birthday

Hello, and Happy New Year!  I'm off to a pretty good start, I've made four cards in the first four days of the new year.

My card for the current MFT Sketch Challenge is simple and follows the sketch without much interpretation.  Although my take on the sketch isn't too creative, it's another card ready to donate.  Over the next few weeks I'll work on cards for Scrapbook.com's Cards for Kindness campaign.  Here is a link to the information on their web site.

I used a unicorn from the MFT Fairy Tale Friends set for the focal point.  A die cut MFT Magical Rainbow makes a colorful background piece for the Copic colored unicorn.  All of the MFT supplies are listed below.
