AAA Cards CAS Game 117 - Geometrics

I have three young adult nephews celebrating birthdays this summer, so I made a masculine birthday card for the current AAA Cards challenge - Geometrics.  Masculine cards are definitely challenging!

I used the Altenew Weave Builder stencil and sponged on Catherine Pooler inks.  I wanted some contrast between the black and brown sides of the cubes, so I found that I needed to use a light touch when applying the inks.  My first attempt was way too heavy handed and the two dark inks just seemed to run together with no definition between them.  A MFT sentiment and some steel gray card stock finished my card.

One card down, two to go!  Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day.

  1. Looks incredible, so 3D! And you’ve kept it beautifully CAS with all that empty white space. Thanks for playing at AAA Cards.

  2. This is stunning ... I love the 3D effect very striking. Thanks for playing along at AAA Cards
